Open the Console During a Campaign
During a Geoplanetical campaign, press the key immediately left of 1 to open the console, then type a command and press Enter. Start with help to list commands, and use Tab to complete names and arguments.
A successful cheat permanently disables Steam achievements for that campaign. Turning a toggle off does not restore eligibility. Help and display commands do not disable achievements.
Enter Commands and Set Toggles
- Press the key immediately left of 1 during a campaign: ` on a US keyboard, ² on a French PC keyboard or @ on a French Mac keyboard. This opens the console.
- Enter help to display the available commands.
- Enter help money to read instructions for that command.
- Press Tab while entering a command or argument to complete it.
- Enter fast_research on to explicitly enable national research at 10x speed.
- Enter fast_research off to explicitly disable the research-speed toggle.
- Press Esc to dismiss suggestions; subsequent presses clear the input and then close the console.
Supply the Correct Arguments and Targets
Copy copies only the base command. Add required arguments without the angle brackets shown in the reference; arguments marked optional can be omitted. Running a toggle without on or off switches its state.
Use debug_map to reveal country tags and province IDs on hover, or provat to inspect the province under your cursor. Typing a province name and pressing Tab inserts its ID and identifies its controlling country. For annex_country, an ambiguous country name is refused with the matching candidates listed.
Use regions to find regional-question IDs for secede. Use debug_ids to reveal the copy-ID control on character sheets, then supply that ID to kill_human. These target-changing commands disable campaign achievements when successful.
For space_supply, space_crisis and space_independence, a site argument accepts its ID or position in your site list, with 1 selecting the first. Omitting it selects your most populated site. An explicit ID also lets space_supply and space_crisis target a former colony that became independent.

Election Cheats and Party Resources
The official command list does not document a command that grants election victories, party funds or activists. adopt_now and adopt_always force legislation. Use My party for normal campaign resource management.
Open Politics → My party and use Raise funds for party treasury cash, or set a recruitment budget and choose Recruit for activists. Money, activists and influence are separate resources. Fundraising and recruitment do not refill influence, whose monthly recovery depends on party support and cohesion.
Command Behavior Changed in Early Access
Steam patch notes fixed yesman to work immediately after a refusal and for peace, ceasefires and armistices. They also fixed space_now to finish a space project outside its final month. ready_army now refills missiles only to your own target rather than granting surplus missiles.
